What Vaari keeps about you, why, and how to have it deleted.
Who we are
Vaari is a hackathon project. It plans Super Seeder visits so every farmer gets a promised date for sowing wheat. Write to us at amanraj3567@gmail.com.
What we collect
About farmers (a village helper books for them, with their consent):
- Phone number
- Village
- Field size
- Harvest day
- How many days you can wait for the machine
- Booking status and history
- WhatsApp messages and voice notes sent to the Vaari number
About helpers, operators and officers:
- Name and email from Google sign-in
Why
- Only to plan machine visits and tell farmers their date.
- No ads.
- We never sell your data.
Who processes it
Two companies handle this data for us:
- Meta: carries WhatsApp messages.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): hosts Vaari, stores the data, turns voice notes into text, and uses AI to word explanations. The planner sets every date, not the AI.
Who sees what
- Farmers: only their own fields.
- Village helpers: only the fields they booked.
- Operators: only their own machine centre.
- Agriculture officers: totals only, never phone numbers.
How long we keep it
- Booking data: until the end of the season.
- Voice notes: deleted once turned into text, and always within 30 days.
